CACTUS WREN:  Occasional at CSA, these big wrens are furtive skulkers part of the time, bold showoffs when it pleases them.  Although not uncommon in the central Valley, they are more common on the west end, up around Falcon Lake State Park, where the vegetation is more in keeping with their arid habitat preferences.
